We celebrate with a focus on colorful, elaborate Ofrendas (Altars) adorned with flowers, (Marigolds particularly), Papel Picado (colorful cut paper banners), candles, momentos, and photos of our loved ones, as well as some of their favorite foods, and items they loved.
If desired, we encourage you to engage in festive, colorful dress, and enjoy Calavera face painting to further participate in this special event.
Bring photos of your loved ones (and pets) to add to our ofrendas.
This evening’s festivities are the launch for our annual Giovanni Giving Fest – our year-end fundraising campaign, which honors Giovanni Maciocia, an influential figure in integrative medicine who was an ally and supporter of Healing Opportunities.
All proceeds support the program efforts of Healing Opportunities to impact health in our community by reducing the negative effects of stress and trauma. We do this by facilitating ear acupuncture and acupressure treatments for community in need, with a focus on our caregiver population.
